Clinical Practice

Life can be hard, and it takes strength to reach out for help. I believe one of the bravest things a person can do is to understand their story and create meaning from it. I create a compassionate space in which people feel seen, heard, and known - not just by me, but eventually by themselves as well. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming, actively anti-racist, and social justice focused therapist.

I support people living with trauma and PTSD, and I am an EMDR Certified Therapist. My approach is warm, flexible, and engaged, with a focus on empowering clients to discover their own healing paths. My clients appreciate that I balance between listening and affirming, while also offering feedback, resources, and ideas. Sessions are a collaborative process where we work together to understand you, your history, and your relationships. Together we develop strategies for healing and recovery.

I am a trained Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and consultant based in southern Kentucky. I received my Bachelors' degree in Sociology and Psychology, a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree, and a graduate certificate in Addictions Education from Western Kentucky University. I am currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Cincinnati with an emphasis in substance use counseling.  I have additional specialty training in TF-CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman Couples Therapy Level 2.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, keeping track of my cat Porter, exercising, and I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
